Home Again

While it was nice to fall asleep in my own bed last night, I'm already missing light-jacket weather, delicious food and family. Morning just isn't the same without "Wah-chuh, bag a cerul" from my niece and my nephew happily eating his oatmeal (half of which ends up on his bib) and singing or talking to himself. Mornings will be pretty quiet now, except for the occasional heated argument we can hear from the downstairs neighbors.

With all of my Christmas projects done, I'm not really sure what to do with myself after work tomorrow. Most of our unpacking is done, I've pruned and watered my plants... Now there aren't very many things on my to-do list and none of the things that are there are very pressing. I need to make curtains for our window, because I'm tired of our blinds being too see-through. Unfortunately we've lost the fabric for the curtains, so I guess finding the fabric is the first priority on that project. I do have a story to work on. I need to get Jeff to finish his grad school applications. I need to organize drawers and closets. And dusting would be a good idea.

I'm not sure how I'll be able to best my Christmas presents this year. The gift I gave my family this year was a stroke of genius, if I do say so myself. :) And everything for my nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law were homemade, which took a long time, but they turned out well. My oldest nieces wore their skirts both Sundays we were there, and I thought they looked cute in them. Plus, the skirts were a great length! Hooray for lds.org's humanitarian sizes!

This is the birthday present I gave my dad. The scripture is the first I ever marked in my own copy of The Book of Mormon and one of the first I ever memorized.

This is Jeff learning how to sew to figure out what was wrong with my sewing machine. Luckily we got it to work long enough for me to finish my Christmas presents.

I made this felt truck for my oldest nephew.

Boxes with my family's Christmas presents. At the last minute, I decided to make a bunch of tags for the gifts. Jeff was so happy with me. ;)

My family's Christmas present. :) Best Christmas present ever!
