I love the Olympics. :) Definitely two of my favorite weeks. And this time around, the Olympics have made me really want to return to the UK. Good thing we're going in April! :)
Today during lunch while watching men's indoor volleyball, I looked at hotels in Edinburgh. Most of the ones I looked at weren't in our price range, but it made me excited all the same. I wish April would hurry!
Our trip to Vegas over the weekend was excellent. My nieces are so cute! I miss them all so much. I wish we could have stayed longer. Too bad we both have work. :( I also wish we could have gone to California to see the rest of them, but unfortunately that didn't happen. We'll have to wait until Thanksgiving.
Today at work I had way too many Olympic spoilers. :( It made me a little annoyed. I know people are excited, but why do they have to spoil it for the rest of us who enjoy watching sports so much more when we don't know what's going to happen? I've come up with my plan of action to avoid any further spoilers, though. It includes blasting music during work (with headphones, of course) and not getting on Facebook, Twitter or news sites until after 11 p.m. That way I can't get annoyed with people. And maybe I'll invest in sound-canceling headphones. Not the best idea for work, but honestly what's better? Me getting annoyed, or people having to tap me on the shoulder to get my attention? By the time the Rio games come around, I probably won't be working and will therefore not have this problem. Until then...
Or, I could just take the next two weeks off of work and fly to England instead and just watch the games live. That's a better solution. :)
Jeff's great. When I lamented that through coworkers and Facebook I had accidentally learned the results of the two most exciting things going on today, he told me he was sorry and that he'd act scared, surprised and excited for me. lol. Because let's be honest, unless it's BYU football, Jeff doesn't get too excited about much.
Good thing I'm not following any blogs that have anything to do with the Olympics, or I wouldn't have any social media to help me feel connected to the world. ;)
