Something really weird is going on. lol. Like, something that hasn't happened since before Jeff and I even started dating! That's how long ago it's been. lol. I didn't really think a mood like this would happen again. But I guess now that my future with Jeff is tied in a pretty secure knot and I've started to settle down and figure out this married life stuff, the time was just right.
It's leading me to do research. On my own. Not related to school. Research! I hate that stuff. And now I'm finding every available moment to go to the library.
Every time I go to the BYU library, I'm floored by the amount of books there are in that place! And the books are about the most random things. Whenever I go in to check out a book, I always linger, pacing up and down the rows of shelves and drinking in all the subjects. Some get so specific, like English costumes in the Middle Ages. Some books are ancient, some have never even been checked out before. I could spend hours in that place...
School's gone pretty well so far. Can't complain. And I pretty much have a four-day weekend all the time. I only go to class two days per week! My classes consist of a media ethics class, a French literature class, a humanities class and a French history class. All pretty interesting. The media ethics class is kind of a philosophy class...which I'm not a huge fan of, but today we divided into groups and had little discussions about lying. I really liked hearing what my group had to say and it was fun contributing my ideas. I'm not one who loves sharing things in class, so smaller group discussions are great for me. In large groups, there are always too many people who like to hear themselves talk and/or have ideas that just have to be shared or the world will end, so I usually let them have the floor.
My French literature class is interesting. A little hard to understand at points, but not too bad. My teacher is Dutch but has an awesome French accent. He has a very thick accent when he speaks English, so it's funny that I can't hear much when he's speaking French. He also has the funniest eyebrows I've ever seen. lol. They're perfect little 'u' shapes. He's a really soft spoken, nice guy though. He can be pretty funny during lectures, too.
Can I just say how much I love my Nook? I always thought, "I would never get a Kindle or a Nook. Why would I want one of those?" but it's actually really nice. It doesn't have a bright screen like computers, so it's easier on your eyes. You can move it around easily and hold it like a book. And it's so much thinner than most books. Plus, you can take a ton of books with you wherever you go. Love it! :)
