I guess Someone's trying to teach me a little humility and patience this week... I feel like a little kid who can't do anything for herself. I don't even feel like a little kid, to be honest, I feel like a baby sometimes! That's how helpless I am. :P But it isn't a parent doing everything for me, it's my husband... Which is nice and not nice at the same time. *sigh*
I am incredibly grateful, though. And while I won't claim that I married the best husband in the world because almost every girl claims that, I will claim that I married the best man for me. :) I don't know if I could find a guy who's much more patient and understanding of all my silly faults and needs. And it's good to know that he'll be able to bear with me when I'm pregnant in years to come... But that's not something we need to discuss now.
Today I took up crocheting. It was kind of a mess. When they say "Very easy, great for beginners" don't expect it to come out looking so good the first time... Jeff and I decided the little lump of knots is going to be a hot pad, because it doesn't really look like anything else. Well, it kind of looks like a blob of coral or a jellyfish or something, but we can't really use it for that, can we? Jeff got me a bunch of green and white and off-white yarn, so I'm going to experiment a little more. I've got plenty of time...so why not? I think my next experiment will be a flower for my hair or something, though. I'm getting a little sick of my jellyfish.
Jeff bought me flowers today. :) It was so sweet of him. He hasn't bought me flowers like that for a long time! Not since we were dating. He's bought me a couple potted flowers, but....I killed on of them and the other hasn't had flowers in over a month. (But there's a bud that will open soon!!!) So it's nice to have flowers in the house again.
Speaking of potted plants, my little herb garden is getting big! I really need to re-pot all of them, because they're starting to get scrunched. Especially the basil. There's so much of it! And it actually looks like basil now, which is fun. The sage doesn't look at all like sage right now.... It kind of looks like mint, but I know that's where I planted the sage. The mint I planted never came up, so I need to replant it.
Lindsay came and sat with me today so Jeff could run to Target to pick up my new pair of glasses. (I haven't worn glasses in years....but Jeff kinda convinced me that it would be good to have a pair just in case, and I'm glad I listened because I've already been using them.... No me gusta glasses, but whatever. My eyes are too tired for contacts and I've been too lazy to try to put them in.) It was fun sitting and talking for a while. We don't get to do that too often. It's nice to have a little female interaction, since I don't get a lot of that nowadays.
Sorry if there are any misspellings in here. I'm typing while laying on my side, which is actually rather difficult...
I want a sewing machine. :( There are so many projects I want to try, but almost all of them require a sewing machine. And I want to be a somewhat good sewer, because I want to be able to make cute little dolls and dresses for my daughters when they come. Granted, I've got time, but still... You don't get great in a day! Maybe I'll sew things for my nieces until my kids come around. And stuff for me. :)
*sigh* You know those weeks when you just want them to be over before they've even started? I want the next week and a half to be done! :P I also need some good suggestions for G or PG movies, old or new. I'm getting a little tired of our movies. Maybe I can convince Jeff to get me The West Wing from the BYU library on Monday. That should keep me busy for a while. Between that, crocheting and finishing my VERY LAST PAPERS/EXAM EVER!!! I should be set until next Sunday!
Haha....I have more time than ever to write on my blog, and yet this is one of the shortest entries on here... That's kinda funny.
