I'm so grateful for hearing and Priesthood blessings. Weird combo, I know... The last couple of days I've had the weirdest feeling/rushing sound in my ear that kind of scared me. It was driving me absolutely insane. This morning after waking up early and not being able to get back to sleep because of the sound, I asked Jeff for a blessing. Even though he was asleep when I woke him up to ask him, he was willing to do it. (Though it did cost 15 extra minutes of sleep afterward. lol.) A little while afterward, the sound got softer and started going off and on instead of constantly. This afternoon I've hardly had an problems at all! It's always nice to have a little reminder that Heavenly Father cares about what's going on in your life and loves to help you.
While I was freaking out, I thought about what it would be like to lose hearing in one of my ears. I could still hear fine despite the rushing, but it scared me that maybe I was losing my hearing in my 20s. Now that my hearing's mostly back to normal, I'm so grateful for it. :) I think the rushing sound/plugged ear feeling was brought on by a combination of stress and the fact that I think I'm getting a cold. :( The light-headedness and slightly achy feeling hit this evening. Thank you, NCAA Tournament.
I'm grateful for good food, too. Like fresh gingerbread. :) Yum...
