So, I missed a bunch of gratitude posts this week, mostly because I was with family all week. It was wonderful. :) I'm so grateful for my family, both sides! This year we spent Thanksgiving with Jeff's family. We don't see them very often, so I was grateful for the opportunity to hang out with them and get to know them better. Our visit was far too short, but playing with my nieces and nephews and talking with my parents-in-law, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law was wonderful. I'm grateful that Jeff comes from such an awesome family and that I love hanging out with them as much as my family during the holidays. I'm also grateful that we switch off, so we get to spend holidays with both sides of the family each year.
I'm so grateful our travel this week was relatively uneventful and incredibly quick. We made it in record time! And I'm grateful that Jeff doesn't mind driving. Last night we listened to the men's basketball game as we drove, but we weren't quite in range and were picking up a Spanish music station on top of the game station. It was kind of funny to hear Mexican music as the soundtrack to the basketball game. Especially when the trumpets flared at the perfect moments, like when the other team got a technical foul.
I'm thankful the volleyball team is ranked in the tournament, so we get to host! That will be so awesome. It makes for a busy week, but we play better at home. :)
Well, it's officially Christmas music time! :) We're putting up the Christmas decorations tonight! I'm grateful for this time of year where we can focus on the Savior and what's really important, and that we can spend time making fun memories with family.
