Today I'm grateful that Jeff is an engineer and with the help of his dad was able to figure out how to turn our heater on. I'm also grateful for a heater that works, because it was getting so cold in this house!

I'm grateful for Mediterranean fish stew. That stuff is yummy. And Jeff didn't mind that I put too much cinnamon in it, because apparently you're allowed to get happy with the cinnamon during the holidays.

I'm grateful for family traditions. Jeff and I sat down and mapped out the traditions we want to have. He was a good sport, because let's face it... Making sure we had a tradition for every nationality in our family lines is a me thing, not a Jeff thing.

I'm grateful basketball is playing on the East Coast, because that means the games start in the afternoon and not late at night like West Coast games do.

I'm also very grateful (again) that there is not a mouse in our vent. I'm grateful it's a bird. So grateful. Because we can just tap the vent and the bird flies away. It's got a really annoying chirp, though. Like, not a cute birdie chirp, but sort of a mix between a deep-throated chirp and a squawk.

  1. Thanks for your gratitude posts. They are uplifting to read. We have the Standin' Tall Gratitude tape in the car (along with Obedience and Honesty). The kids enjoy them too. :)
    Love,
